Our Farm is Going to the Dogs!

Ever since our kids were little, we have involved them in every part of our farming operation. As they grew older we encouraged them to pursue their own business interests here on the farm or elsewhere. It has been interesting to see the creative and unique ideas this type of encouragement has lead to.

Four years ago our youngest son, Seth, made the decision to pursue his interest in Goldendoodle dog breeding. He began by building a beautiful dog kennel and purchased two dogs, a female English Cream Golden Retriever and a male Standard Poodle. Our family enjoyed watching these two sweet pups grow into loving, playful mature dogs.

As he did more research on Goldendoodles, he learned about genetic crosses, hair coats, and sizes, and realized that all Goldendoodles are not the same. As an allergy sufferer, he was excited to learn that depending on the genetic cross a person suffering from pet allergies might finally be able to have a pet. These discoveries led me to purchase two more dogs so he could offer Goldendoodles that would be even more hypoallergenic.

Elizabeth, our youngest, was born to nurture little creatures. She loves dogs as much or more than Seth. It was a natural fit for her to take over the puppy care, and she makes sure that the puppies have excellent care accompanied by loads of snuggles at all times. With her in charge, the puppies get plenty of attention and socialization!

In early July, two of the mothers had litters of Goldendoodle puppies. One litter is F1 and the other is F1b. If you would like to learn more about Seth’s puppies and what these genetic crosses mean or if you just want to see more cute puppy pictures, visit his website at www.hesterbergdoodles.com.

At this time he has several puppies that are available for adoption. If you or someone you know is interested in a Goldendoodle puppy, contact us or give Seth a call at 217-898-1729.

Seth is dedicated to providing families with happy, healthy, ethically-bred Goldendoodles that will be a companion for many years to come. We couldn’t be more proud of this young man and all of his hard work!
